Kids, Adults and Family Holiday Coaching Programme at Sender Bike Park, Aviemore 2026
During the UK school holidays, we run special MTB coaching programmes for Kids, Adults, and Families based at Sender Bike Park in Aviemore, with guided rides exploring the surrounding natural trails, trail centres, and backcountry mountain routes in the Cairngorms and Highlands of Scotland.
The bike park is also open on most holiday days from 13:00 to 17:00 for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) riding sessions, where kids, adults, and families can simply pay to ride and practise independently. Please check the Opening Times page for the latest availability and weather-dependent updates.

Top Gun ROOKIE – ONE – GIRLS – Performance Kids MTB Academies based at Sender Bike Park Aviemore – Scotland
Our flagship kids’ MTB coaching programmes are the Top Gun ROOKIE Academy and Top Gun ONE – TWO – THREE. Each academy runs over three consecutive days, with three intensive hours of coaching per day.
Sessions use a combination of Sender Bike Park, AirBags, focused flatland skills training, the pump track (weather permitting), and local natural trails. This creates an incredible opportunity for young riders to dive deep into performance mountain biking, build confidence, and accelerate their progression in a fun, supportive environment. There is nothing else like this is in Scotland.

This Academy is not judged by age, but by ability. We often see highly skilled young riders, including some impressive 6-year-olds. That said, the younger the rider, the more important it is for parents to consider whether they can sustain three intensive hours per day over three consecutive days — and whether you’re happy to join us on each session to help on the climbs.
To meet the entry standard for the ROOKIE Academy, riders should be confident on blue-graded trails, have some experience on easy natural trails, and feel comfortable making or trying small jumps and drops. This Academy is perfect for up-and-coming riders aspiring to progress into Top Gun One. If you’re unsure, just email or message us and we’ll happily help you decide.
