A Deep Dive into our MTB and EMTB Masterclass Skills Coaching Programme – Courses in Scotland
“Skills First – Speed Follows!“

We’re excited to offer our flexible mixed-group MTB and eMTB coaching programme based out of Sender Bike Park in Aviemore, designed to fit your schedule and budget. You can dip in and out of half-day coaching sessions that work as powerful one-off performance boosts. Or you can follow a logical, progressive pathway for longer term rider development either as part of a MIXED Group or independently on Private Sessions.

Great coaching takes time. Riders need space to reflect, practise, and make positive changes — and as we get older, meaningful change can take longer to embed. That’s why we build purposeful, deliberate practice into every session from day one, helping you develop real skills that transfer to the trails.
It is important that we build ground up from Level 1. Each Level builds on Skills and Techniques from the previous level.

The Performance Masterclass Pathway.

Stage 4
Why complete the 3 Core Elements before accessing Trail L1?
Completing Level 1 across the 3 elements of Jumps, Drops and Corners, gives you the full spectrum of fundamental bike-handling skills needed to “tool up” and get the most from Trail Master Level 1 and beyond. We don’t want to be covering the basics “On the Trail” or trying to iron out bad habits in a complex location. We want to be diving into terrain and features with confidence and control, refining and progressively building complexity.
Scottish Enduro Masterclass Level 1 can be booked as a STANDALONE session but it will be more challenging if you have missed all the skills and technique development learned in the other 4 Level 1 Elements of Jump, Drop, Corner and Trail.
Sender MTB Drops Masterclasses
Performance MTB Drops Level 1
3 hrs Based at Sender Bike Park
Our Drop Masterclass will redefine how you approach drops on the trail and will give you solid methodology to choose the best method (s) for a desired outcome. Replication and Solid Execution is the name of the game. With loads of practice we will explore the two most common drop techniques used on natural trails and in bike parks, and get them fully dialled. At Sender Bike Park, we progress in small, confidence-building steps suitable for all ages and abilities. There’s no need for apprehension or fear — we start small and build up at your level in a controlled environment.

Performance MTB Drops Level 2
3 hrs Based at Sender Bike Park
Next we roll out the three additional drop techniques that are used less often because they are either higher risk, only applied on specific features in specific situations, or serve as emergency “get out of jail” techniques. An eye opening session!
We consolidate Level 1 skills and progress the two most commonly used drop techniques into more complex scenarios, such as inclined and declined drop-offs, and compressions. By the end of this class you will be tackling drops with tricks up your sleeve.

Sender MTB Jumps, Tables and Gaps Masterclasses
Performance MTB Jumps Level 1
3 hrs Based at Sender Bike Park
Our Jump Masterclass begins with bike set-up, so you can control the bike predictably and with confidence. We then introduce how to apply pressure into the bike at the right place and the right time, using solid, repeatable movements that build consistency and confidence in the air.
Before attempting any ramps or tabletops, we explore jump dynamics through playful experimentation on flatland coaching features. This allows you to understand take-off mechanics in a low-risk environment. When you’re ready, we progressively increase height and speed on our tabletops and gap jumps.
By the end of the session, riders can take their first steps onto our Intro Airbag. This provides a safe and supportive way to experience airtime with a higher margin for error. This is an intensive Masterclass with plenty of video feedback to accelerate learning and highlight key improvements.

Performance MTB Jumps Level 2
3 hrs Based at Sender Bike Park
Revisiting Level 1 to start the session, we refine and reinforce key skills before moving confidently onto the next size of jump. We also enhance bunny hop technique on flat ground, then transfer that movement onto jumps to improve lift, timing, and control.
In this session, we have the opportunity to remove some of our wooden Tabletops to create proper gap jumps where appropriate. This leads onto the Lilly Pad Tabletop where we can work on some simple ON – OFF’s. If progression is strong across the group and riders have good shape in the air and solid landings some riders may feel ready to step up to the Big Table. This gives entry to the Medium Airbag. Those not quite ready can continue to work on their confidence on the Small AirBag. We might even be able to make the first introductions to Whipping!

Sender MTB Cornering Masterclasses
Performance MTB Cornering Level 1
3 hrs Based in Aviemore and Pump Track
In mountain biking, corners are everywhere — and no two are ever the same. Each turn is technical in its own way, requiring a broad toolbox of skills and techniques. We need to choose the right method, apply it in the right place, at the right time, with the right speed and movement on the bike.
Railing corners is an art. In this first session, we get down to the fundamentals of cornering technique — building strong foundations that you can apply across different trail surfaces, speeds, and corner types
We’ll dive deep into unsupported and supported turns, exploring rotation, braking, inclination vs angulation, and analysing technique in detail. We then take this learning onto gravel tracks, where you can apply pressure through the bike at the right place and the right time in a controlled environment.
As we gradually build speed, turns start to feel more like carving on skis than gripping on tyres. Smooth, dynamic, and controlled. Nothing beats a good slalom session for unlocking flow and putting big grins on faces. If time allows, we’ll finish at the pump track to experience fully supported turns at speed and lock in the learning.

Performance MTB Cornering Level 2
3 hrs Based at the Trail Centre / Cairngorm MTN
At Level 2, we turn up the complexity and speed dial. The aim is to take your understanding of cornering physics and biomechanics to the next level, building confidence and control in more demanding scenarios.
Using a variety of locations — chosen to suit the weather, conditions, and group ability — we’ll safely immerse ourselves in as many cornering scenarios as possible to find maximum grip and cleaner speed out of turns. The plan is to mix groomed, supported bike park corners with flat, rutted, and partially supported natural turns, broadening your experience across real-world trail conditions.
Races are won and lost in corners. Our goal is to increase flow and reduce unnecessary braking — or apply the right braking, in the right place, at the right time. This course may require the purchase of a half day uplift ticket depending on weather.
Let the turns begin!

Sender MTB Trail Masterclasses
Performance MTB Trail Level 1
The PRIMARY GOAL of Trail Masterclass 1 is to take the Skills and Techniques we have been working on in isolation at the Bike Park and apply these to more complex trail scenario’s.
Therefore, Well done! To reach this moment of sheer joy, you’ve already been on a significant, game-changing journey of self-improvement. You should now be handling your bike with greater confidence, positivity, and control.
In this first Trail Masterclass, we’ll find a range of superb trail features to session and refine. With a stronger understanding of body position and how to apply and release pressure at the right moments, we can now really focus on reading and riding the trail with intent.
Traction is king and queen — let’s go get it.

Performance MTB Trail Level 2
The PRIMARY GOAL of Trail Masterclass 2 is to take the Skills and Techniques we have been working on in isolation at the Bike Park and apply these to more complex trail scenario’s.
Now we’re really in the groove — not stuck in the ruts. You have embraced Jump, Drop, and Cornering Level 2 before returning here to visit more outstanding locations to session, mixing up terrain, features, and challenges to help you neutralise the trail, carry speed, and stay in control.
In this session, we may even bring out the portable timing system for real-time, high-tech performance analysis — giving you clear, objective feedback to sharpen decision-making, efficiency, and flow on the trail.

Sender MTB Core Skills Masterclasses – Autumn 2026
Performance Core Skills Level 1
3 hrs Based at Sender Bike Park
Our Core Skills Masterclass is a must-do for any beginner or intermediate MTB rider. This session focuses on purposeful practice of essential mountain bike techniques, helping you better understand and control your bike on flatland before transferring those skills onto relevant features. And over time, onto real trails. The result is a big boost in confidence and control across the three key elements of riding: jumps, drops, and corners.
At the start of every Level 1 Masterclass, we revisit the fundamentals of movement on the bike. This dedicated Core Skills session gives you the space to go deeper and challenge yourself with a wide range of slow-speed control drills. It’s intensive, sometimes frustrating in the best possible way, packed with “lightbulb moments” where new skills click into place. And, importantly, it’s also a lot of fun 🙂
